What Sidebar Cloud stores
- Your account: the email address, name and Google account identifier that Google shares when you sign in. Sidebar asks Google only for basic sign-in (openid, email, profile) and never reads your Gmail, Drive or Calendar through this sign-in.
- Cards: what the AI apps you connect send to your Sidebar (titles, text, attachments, replies), so your computer can collect them even while it is offline. Each account's cards live in their own separate database.
- Connections: the names of AI apps and computers you link, and hashed credentials for them.
- Billing: your subscription status. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments; Sidebar never sees your card number.
What it does not do
Sidebar Cloud does not sell your data, show ads, or use your cards to train models. Cards are not read by people except to investigate abuse you report or when the law requires it.
On your computer
The Sidebar app keeps its own copy of your cards locally. If you turn on its optional assistant features, card text is sent to the AI provider you configured through your own account, under that provider's terms.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from the account page: this cancels your subscription and erases your cards, connections and account immediately. Backups of the server are overwritten within 30 days.
